    Designed in the early 1940's this beautiful Laykin et Cie ring marries the best of the East with the West. Stunning translucent green jade cut in the traditional Chinese style in a manner which has adorned wedding fingers in the Middle Kingdom for over a thousand years and then married to a skirt of exquisite brilliant diamonds which hugs the ring with a perfect fit.  We felt it fitting to name this ring after one of the most sophisticated and striking ladies of the era; Madame Chiang. How perfectly it would have looked on her slender hands.

The center provides a perfect knot for this bow of yesteryear....a delicious diamond.   This beautiful bow ring can also be ordered as a mounting to accommodate your own diamond center stone and makes for an perfect way to say thank you....or I love you.  The Mocambo was one of Sunset Strips most famous night clubs from 1941 - 1957 and was located across the street from the location of the original Laykin et Cie Hollywood salon. It featured performances and customers representing Hollywood's A list. Also featured on this page is the original sketch of the Mocambo Ring from the Laykin et Cie archives circa 1941.

    Evoking the 1930's Art Deco interpretation of ancient Egyptian themes; this strong ring of sultry proportions and modernistic presence establishes it's presenter as a woman of conviction. Nephertiti was designed at the Laykin et Cie attelier on Sunset Blvd in 1935 and originally featured choices of opaque Onyx, Lapis or Malachite.

    Our 2017 reinterpretation of this stylistic gem ensconces gorgeous hand cut and polished gems to feature their stunning translucence devoid of the complexities created by facets. These stones forcefully challenge the status quo with a bold statement of purity and resolution. Laykin et Cie is pleased to present Nephertiti in Blue or Brown Topaz, Yellow Citrine, Pink or Green Tourmaline, or Amethyst set in 18KT yellow gold.
